
Launch: Building Patterns
Essential Question: How can you calculate the total area of a textile pattern made from multiple triangles and other polygons in a composite design, and use that information to create a balanced and visually appealing pattern?
Lesson Learning Goal: Students will be able to determine the total area and perimeter of a composite polygon by breaking it down into component parts.
